My name is Pat (Patricia) McClure. I am the designer of Alaska Ginny, an exclusive for my now-closed shop, 'Little Friends'. 'Little Friends' was the first storefront doll shop in Anchorage, Alaska. The shop provided 10 years of memorable experiences for me. See my 'About' page for more information.

Although my storefront shop is closed, a limited number of Alaska Ginny dolls are still available for sale. A portion of my private collection is also for sale. Included are items no longer available, retired issues, special editions, and items that just caught my eye. Perhaps you will find an item that you have been looking for, or one that just suits your fancy!

Alaska Ginny

Alaska Ginny is an exclusive for 'Little Friends'.  She is an 8" hard vinyl VOGUE doll by Dakin, representing a suntanned Eskimo child with long black hair. Her fake fur Parka and Mukluks are typical of winter clothing worn during the long winter months in the Far North.  Her piece of Alaska Jade is from Kotzebue, Alaska. Alaska Jade is the gemstone of Alaska. Kotezbue is 33 miles (53 km) north of the Arctic Circle on Alaska's western coast.

Ginny comes with a certificate indicating her number.  There were 2,000 Alaska Ginny dolls made and there are less than 10% remaining. You will find her pictured in “Ginny America's Sweetheart: Identification & Value Guide” by A. Glenn Mandeville.  Please see Products for purchasing details.
